I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA before moving to Washington, DC. Over the course of 25 years in education, I've taught in numerous schools across the entire K-12 spectrum. After earning a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction at Indiana University, I taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I've opened schools and worked in instructional design. But at a small island school 12 miles offshore from Rockland, Maine, things have finally gotten interesting.
